Welcome to “Still Standing,” a site about Dwight’s remarkable journey from tragedy to triumph. With no visible signs of life and having coded twice, the doctors were ready to call his time of death. But Dwight survived against all odds. His body battered and paralyzed forever due to a severed spine, Dwight refused to quit. His story is tragic, joyous, humorous, and full of grit. Along the way, Dwight vowed to make sure his experience counted for something. He has shared his tears and laughter with hundreds of audiences across the country. He has touched countless lives. Now he brings his story to print. It will make you cry. It will make you laugh. Mostly, it will inspire you to see what one man with boundless determination and a never-say-die spirit can accomplish no matter the circumstances.
A Message From Dwight:
Hi. Thanks for visiting my site. It is my hope that my life and testimony brings you inspiration. After spending almost a full year of my life in the hospital fighting for my life, God brought me back from the brink of death. I was declared a miracle. For that reason, despite my circumstances, I wake up every morning with unbelievable joy! My biggest goal in life is simply to create a life resume that God will be proud of. I have dedicated my life to saving others and making it my goal to provide hope and inspiration. It's been an honor working with my good friend Jon Praet, a great writer and friend, to publish this book. Follow me on my journey and you'll see why I'm truly STILL STANDING.
